Jungle Computing

A visual language for personal compute — from roots and trunks to services, apps and agents.

Complex systems should still feel legible.

01 / The friction

Home labs and distributed systems get hard to reason about when every machine and service becomes another anonymous rectangle in a dashboard.

02 / The approach

The project uses an ecosystem metaphor: servers become trees, switches become vines, applications become fruit, and dependencies become visible relationships.

03 / What it became

The metaphor is becoming both a visual identity and an interaction model for monitoring personal infrastructure in a way that is memorable at a glance.
