Hi, I’m Andrew Bartlett — a builder at heart.
I’ve spent most of my career somewhere between business systems and creative code, turning complex ideas into things that actually work.
My path started in the ERP world, working deep inside Dynamics 365 Business Central (NAV). Over time I realised the real challenge wasn’t just writing clean code — it was designing systems that people actually want to use.
I’m the kind of developer who enjoys the messy middle: figuring out how to get a workshop running smoothly when the Wi-Fi drops, or how to build a PWA that feels native even when it’s offline. Most of my recent work has explored WASM, WebRTC, and P2P architectures — building apps that are faster, lighter, and more resilient because they do more of the thinking right in the browser.
Along the way I completed an MBA (Dean’s List) and served on an advisory board for the Australian Institute of Business, helping shape UX and student-experience projects. That mix of strategy and tinkering has shaped how I work: build small, prove value, then scale cleanly.
I’m currently designing browser-first, distributed systems — PWAs and edge-powered apps that sync peer-to-peer and integrate with ERPs like Dynamics 365 BC. Tools that are smart enough to run on their own, yet simple enough that people forget there’s tech underneath.
When I’m not experimenting with new stacks or rewriting something for the tenth time “because it can be better,” you’ll find me sketching new ideas, refining user journeys, or hacking together prototypes on my home server.
This site is my dev journal — a place to share what I’m learning, what I’m breaking, and what I’m building next.
